Aviareps PLC, the UK's leading General Sales Agent, appointed by Hong Kong Airlines (HX) and Hong Kong Express Airways (UO)

Hong Kong Airlines (HX) and Hong Kong Express Airways (UO) have appointed Aviareps PLC as their general sales agent in the UK and Ireland.

The two newly-merged carriers operate a broad regional network of some 30 routes from Hong Kong into mainland China and other key destinations in the Indochina and Far East region including 17 routes in China and new scheduled services to regional destinations in Japan.

The two airlines currently operate a combined fleet of 11 B737s (building to 16 by year end) configured in a 2-class service, with a further 30 A320s and 20 A330s on order for delivery from 2010 onwards.

Of the appointment, Bill Roff, Joint Chief Executive of Aviareps PLC, commented, “We look forward to expanding our involvement with this growing and exciting economic region, open for sale just in time for the Olympics.”
