Norwegian adds flights at Gatwick Airport

05 July 2010
Norwegian, Scandinavia’s largest low-cost carrier, has announced service increases from London Gatwick Airport to Stockholm Arlanda from 2 September 2010.

Norwegian, with headquarters in Oslo Norway, introduced non-stop flights from London to Stockholm this past spring, and as the routes have been close to sold out during the entire month of May, the airline has responded to this market demand by introducing additional departures.

“We are very satisfied with the development of demand for Stockholm service. The instant success from London has triggered our desire to offer increased flexibility to our passengers. In order to be a competitive player and an attractive alternative for business travellers, it is important to increase the number of daily flights while keeping low fares,” says Asa Larsson, Press Officer at Norwegian.

Starting 2 September 2010, the current daily evening departure from London Gatwick to Stockholm Arlanda airport will be supplemented by a morning departure and an additional departure on Sundays. A one-way ticket from London costs from £29 one-way including taxes.

Aviareps PLC provides a local resource to the travel trade community in UK, offering trade support and assistance to stimulate demand for Norwegian’s scheduled services from London Gatwick and Edinburgh to Scandinavia.
