Düsseldorf Airport

Challenge:
Düsseldorf Airport needed to increase passenger boarding numbers from the neighboring countries of Netherlands and Belgium – a short drive away but not a first choice for air travellers from these areas.

Solution:
Lothar Winkelhoch, owner of R&CTI and our Avcenta team leader in Germany, worked with his team to research passenger travel patterns in the Dutch and Belgian markets and presented Düsseldorf with a marketing plan to reach business and leisure travellers within this catchment area. The Avcenta sales team implemented the plan and achieved a tripling of passenger enplanements from the Dutch and Belgian markets.
